Photographers Rights

As this was discussed here last year after I got a thump in the nose
for taking a shot of an angler in a public place (he legged it) this
is interesting:

I am told the persons involved no longer work for Golden Wonder and
the company apologised to the photographer.

MPS have published guidance on their website, there's also guidance you
can obtain under FOIA from ACPO that is, as far as I can tell, the most
definitive guidance issued to police forces / officers on the subject.

I tend to carry both, as well as the Network Rail photography on railway
property document, when out with my camera.

I also carry my Release Pad and if I can see it I can shoot it.

You won't believe how many people will ask to sign a release just hoping to
get their picture in the paper.

I paid my way all over Europe with an old Nikon F1 taking pictures of
vacationers from America and selling them to their local paper for 6 Dollars
deposited in my bank in the USA.
