White Water Owners/Former Owners Music Theme Question

I'm trying to nail down my next game and WH2O is on the list. Only
thing I am concerned about is the music. I've watched the game being
played on You Tube and the music seems kinda corny. I didn't hear
anything catchy or memorable. Is the music that bad? I passed on
Fish Tale because of the music. Also is there any DMD animation
showing Big Foot?

I also don't like the music on FT but WW sounds good to me, not the
most catchy tune but not irritating like FT.
A nice trick is that the music plays faster when you get to the higher
rafts.

During bigfoot bluff mode (hit the 2 white bigfoot targets enough)
it'll show funny pictures of bigfoot when you shoot the pinball trough
his cave.

You may want to investigate using Visual pinball -- if you need more
time to hear the game sounds and music. It is not a substitute for
real world games, but it is nice tool for filtering and avoiding buyer
remorse.

Yes, there are DMD animations with Big Foot. At a minimum, you can
find him in hot foot mode, but he is sprinkled else were in the game.

The music on WH2O changes and gets more intense as you progress through the game. Some like it and some don't. I think it is pretty good.

The music on WW has been much maligned over the years..somewhat
repetitive, but as a previous poster stated, it gets more intense with
play. I'm in agreement with you on the importance of the background
music though....it certainly can make/break a game IMHO.
FWIW, my personal favorite theme music is on Mystery Castle....there
is NONE better!

Also if you collect the camera during bigfoot bluff you get a bunch of
silly snapshots of bigfoot.

Also if you enable match Bigfoot goes bowling. I love mine. The music
grows on you. It does get more intense the farther along the river
your raft gets. I really like it. Not to mention the Vacation Jackpot.
Watch on Youtube. When I hit it the first time I thought I blew a
fuse. I was so amped that I did well it didn't click until the jackpot
all started. It i san awesome game. I have added a cool kyak dude on
the ramp ball protector. It will also at random call you a weiner. I
would say once every 15 games. "Get the extra ball... ya weiner" too
funny

its got a bluegrassy feel to it. Both games music were done by the
same person (granner).
I think WH20 music (and sounds) fit the theme just right.

The music in WH20 is one of my favorite aspects of the pin -- largely
because it does ramp up in intensity as the game progresses. It does
help to have an appreciation for the old synthesizer sound chips (we
didn't get recorded music until IJ), but if you can appreciate the
limitations and orchestration of the medium there's a lot to love
about that soundtrack. It is a feel good game all around.

The music gnaws on me after a while. The sounds are ok, but the music
gives me a headache after a few games. I also hate the bowling thing and
I hate how you can't speed up the end of ball bonus cycle. On my
particular WH2O, it is nearly impossible to advance to River Class 6
without getting it as a Spirit gift. I understand the tricks with the
ramps and rollovers to spot the targets, but it's damn hard on my
machine. I've completed the game before and think the apeshit machine is
cool when you do it. The game is not bad, but unfortunately I have to
say the game is a bit overrated compared to the other 90s games coming
out of that company. I like the idea of it much more than I like playing
it. May or may not be a keeper in my collection. I've had it for about 3
years, but has gone as much as 1.5 years without play before.

Love everything about WH2O. It's a beautiful, fun, and completly pisses
me off trying to get the wizard mode. Highly recommend adding one to
your collection.

I was a bit worried about the music too, but it fits the theme and
isn't that bad.

The sound effect for the VUK is MUCH worse.

EXACTLY.

I love Granner's work, and WH2O has a fantastic and catchy soundtrack.

Fish Tales is kinda annoying though, but I'm trying to get over
it...lol
