I have several African Americans in my family whom
I adore.

Two of my grandsons have a black mother, so I get all riled up at
stupid remarks like that. And I consider them more than half white
because I don't know what kind of interrelationships are in her past,
her parents are from Jamaica which is pretty mixed. I also hate the
one drop means black to the general public. The boys happen to be
gorgeous and a color I consider very attractive.

Big deal...most of my family is "black". (what WE like to be called!
Many blacks DON'T like the African American label. A WHITE person born
in South Africa, then migrated and got citizenship in the US could then
be considered an AFRICAN AMERICAN!)

Didn't tell people they could or couldn't laugh...told YOU not to tell
ME what was funny...and STILL fell that way! As far as it ending with
slavery, that is when it ended for MY people as far as I'M concerned, I
don't care when YOU think it ended, your thoughts on that are
inconsequential.

You think telling people what they should and shouldn't find funny
ended with slavery? Okay. I think you are mistaken in that as well as
being wrong to suggest it had anything to do with slavery. And you
